A LIFE IN DANCE AND DEVOTION

Untitled_Artwork-2_edited.png

Radhe Jaggi is a Bharatanatyam artiste whose dance is an exquisite balance of grace, tradition, and depth.

A disciple of Smt. Leela Samson, she trained at Kalakshetra Foundation and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Arts Management from Dakshina Chitra, Chennai.

Rooted in the classical rigor of Bharatanatyam, her artistry is deeply influenced by her lifelong practice of yoga, lending her movements fluidity, strength, and precision.

Her visual aesthetic extends beyond performance, reflected in the way she drapes her dance saris and selects costumes that celebrate India’s rich textile heritage/traditions. From the intricate weaves of Kanjeevaram to the bold patterns Telia Rumal every choice is deliberate. For her, fabric and drape are not just about appearance—they are an extension of the story her dance seeks to tell. Whether on stage or in the service of a cause, her journey is one of expression, purpose, and devotion—a dance that flows like a river, timeless and ever-evolving.

For Radhe, the stage is only one aspect of her journey - her passion extends to mentoring the net generation of dancers through Project Samskriti. Project Samskriti is a contemporary ensemble that aims to nurture, preserve, and showcase these ageless arts to the world. Seamlessly blending classical dance, music and martial arts into a breathtakingly exuberant expression, Project Samskriti presents choreographies that explore spiritual themes, drawing from India's spiritual traditions. Productions like Shoonya, Tapasya, Maya, Ahankara Vadham reimagine narratives in a form that is both contemporary and timeless.

Project Samskriti toured the United States with their production Anumārga An exploration of Bhakti through different characters from our civilisational history and mythology.

Beyond dance, Radhe has also been a vocal advocate for Cauvery Calling, a movement aimed at reviving the Cauvery River through sustainable agroforestry. In 2019, she travelled to 22 cities in five weeks, performing and speaking at fundraising events, raising awareness about the urgent need for ecological restoration.
